Financial scholarships are available for graduating high school seniors or older who want to study organ. Those applying must have a piano background and must complete an audition. Deadline:

INDEPENDENT STUDY SCHOLARSHIPS: These financial scholarships are available for graduating high school seniors or older who want to study organ. Typical scholarships are $500 and may be used for independent private lessons throughout the year award year. Applicants must have a piano background and must complete an audition. Applications may be obtained from the Dayton Chapter website Scholarship page and must be submitted by April, 15 each year.


COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS: The College Scholarships are for graduating high school students planning to study organ in college. These grants range from $500 to $2000 and may be used by the student to defray any college expense.

Applications for the Independent Study or College scholarships may be obtained from the Dayton Chapter website, “Scholarship” page and must be submitted by April, 15 each year to:

FIGLEY SCHOLARSHIP: Harold L. and Evelyn Figley Scholarship Fund at Wittenberg University was Established by the Reverend Harold L. Figley for the purpose of encouraging interest and developing skills in instrumental organ music. This scholarship provides assistance to eligible non-music and music majors, faculty, staff, and members of Springfield area churches.

Adult students granted Dayton Chapter Independent Study, College or the Wittenberg Figley scholarships are invited to play at the May recital.
